justmom, I, too, offer my condolences and hope that you soon find comfort. Don't let his nephew not know him, show him pictures, tell him stories so that he can feel as though he's known him all his life. The deal here is, we want the actual killer to be punished.I know and can feel your anger and pain. In fact, I can actually relate to it. Anyone who was there and was involved in the actual stabbing should and will be punished as accessories, and rightfully so.

devildog13: I know that polygraphs can or may be used at times to rule a suspect out. That's all I'm saying. However, auntterri has enlightened me on a few things I didn’t know about this case. I do have the ability to change my mind and am not afraid to do so. I, like others, just want to know the truth. Thanks.

auntterri: Thank you. I don't know anybody involved in this sad story. You seem to have more information than the OA. Thanks for filling us in.

A polygraph is a tool used but can't be considered as evidence. It can't be used as evidence so what do you think it could prove. If someone passes and other evidence exists that contradicts the outcome of the polygraph then you have to go with the evidence that's can be used. I'm sure polygraphs are very common but you never know about them.good point auntterri

maybe Lyson did take a lie detector test. or since we didn't hear all his recorded interrogation he refused one later on. since it wouldnt be allowed in court, and his statements we did hear were so inconsistent we will never know if he took, passed, or failed a polygraph. the other 3 at the scene passed polygraphs or so I heard.

devildog13: That's a fact indeed. However, if you were interested in finding out the truth in this matter, would you not at least consider the results?

Think it's a possibility that a polygraph is inabmisable in court?? Check on it.

"“Your story sucks and it ain’t gonna hold water,” Stanford told Lyson during the interrogation""Det. Shelly Stanford of the Odessa Police Department testified Wednesday she spotted several holes in Lyson’s story but acknowledged her threats could have “caused more inconsistencies.”"Real classy!

I think the PD needs to review their interview procedures, and maybe, just maybe a review of the qualifications of their people from time to time. Sounds like they made an arrest and made the evidense fit the arrest instead of the other way around.

I say give Lyson a lie detector test like he asked for. Are the detectives afraid of the possible results? How about we try to get the truth here........whatever it is.
